MCAPS Scoring Tool

The MCAPS Scoring Tool is a spreadsheet tool that implements the Balanced Assessment Program's Mathematics Content and Process Scoring System (MCAPS), enabling teachers to efficiently use the scoring system in their classes. Our report on the MCAPS system includes a thorough explanation of how to use the scoring tool.

The MCAPS Scoring Tool requires Microsoft Excel or a compatible spreadsheet. Here is how to install the MCAPS Scoring Tool on your computer:

For Windows 95/98/2000/Me: Download and run this setup file, then follow these instructions.
For Windows 3.1: Download and run this setup file, then follow these instructions.
For Macintosh: You must obtain the spreadsheet on floppy disk. Order item no. BA 13-99 (price $8.00) and specify the Mac version.
